I begin to feel complete when I am immersed in painting and drawing...working non-objectively allows me to discover and reveal emotion and mood in a vocabulary unlike verbal language. The process of the history of surface and the development of gestural and linear movements in painting intrigues me; it mesmerizes me...the process itself is the subject matter of my works. My images are derived from nature and remembered feelings of the landscapes from my travels and home."
